Dr. Martin F. Guinta O.D.
After serving his country in the US Navy, Dr. Martin F. Guinta graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, in 1976. Long recognized a leader in his community, the 'Doc' was the first Primary Care Optometrist in the country trained to diagnose and treat eye diseases. Early in his practice, it was his focus on personal care and hard work that helped him develop the large patient base that the practice maintains today.
In the early 90's it was Dr. Guinta's foresight that brought many to his office for Lasik Co-Management. He is one of the first Optometrists in North America to co-manage refractive laser surgery. Dr. Guinta embraced the evolving laser technology that was then known as PRK or Photorefractive Keratectomy, by referring interested patients to Windsor, Ontario to have the procedure completed by Canadian Corneal Refractive Surgeons.
As most patients know, Dr. Guinta enjoys fishing, volunteering service, skiing, backpacking, and traveling with his wife, Mary Ann. They have two sons, both of which share their passion for life and humanity.
